Full Job Description
Job Summary:
Arctic Tours Canada creates, develops, and executes memorable holiday experiences that support Arctic Tours Canada brand with high guest expectations from all over the world.
As a Trip Development Coordinator you will work with the Marketing Director in all aspects of new development and re-development of all trips and guest experiences designed to attract Asian market travel partners. Maintain standards and specifications for all new product as work is done to build-out detailed itineraries. You will ensure that Trip Development is completed per all sales launch deadlines, and you will oversee all aspects of such with the support of Sales Manager. You will grow and develop team members while nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment and culture.
We ask that you are available for frequent domestic and international travel marketing Arctic Tours Canada products on assigned tradeshows and business meetings.
Responsibilities:
•Collect and organize findings for destination and market research.
•Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for new projects and lead the analysis of the proposals
•Read and negotiate contracts and help prepare, red-line, edit, and proof documents
•Vet potential partners and establish new travel partner relationships
•Collaboratively create trip story lines/theming and itinerary design
•Site-inspection trip creation, planning, and participation/execution
•Manage multiple booking systems in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English characters.
•Conduct compelling and engaging presentations and training sessions to several teams to share new product(s)
•Partner with the Experiences Operations team on new itineraries to ensure all aspects of the itinerary flow seamlessly from development to operations
•Manage Social media platforms (Facebook, Line, Wechat, Kakao, Instagram and Twitter) in both English and Chinese
•Create marketing materials for Tradeshow and brochure flyer for hand outs in Chinese and English
•Respond to booking request emails in both English and Chinese.
•Take in activities booking request over the phone.
Basic Qualifications:
•Project management experience
•Experience partnering internally and externally, domestically, and internationally
•Negotiation experience
•Guided tourism industry knowledge
•Personal or professional travel experience
•Simultaneously oversee multiple projects; meet deadlines and deliverables on time
Preferred Qualifications:
•Multiple language skills including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and English
•3+ years travel product development experience
•Experience using photoshop, lightroom, adobe, graphics design and video editing software
•2 or more years leadership or mentoring experience
•Experience working with individuals and teams in remote locations
•Experience working with activities team with multiple backgrounds and experience
•Experience in domestic and Asian travel market
•Experience using REZDY booking system and Experiences booking platforms
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree

Are you the person who goes out of their way to make someone feel at ease and important? Does the thought of working outdoors, no matter the weather, and doing physical work all day get you excited? If so, a Tour Guide role with Arctic Tours Canada could be the perfect fit.
DUTIES
- Escort individuals or groups on scheduled northern lights experiences and other activities that we offer.
- Utilize microphones or other communication devices.
- Resolve itinerary and other problems.
- Ensure and monitor guest luggage transfers.
- Develop and deliver commentaries;
- Describe points of interest.
- Confirm transportation and accommodation reservations.
- Co-ordinate guided experiences.
- Attend to hotel, airport and other check-in and check-out procedures.
- Co-ordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of travel groups.
- Assist guests with special needs.
- Collect administration or entrance fees.
- Assist guest to setup photography equipment
- Conduct guided aurora viewing and photography tours, fishing tours, walking tours, sightseeing of museums, gallery exhibitions and historical sites visits, hiking and other guided experiences that we offer.
- Provide historical and scientific facts about northern lights and sell our northern lights inspired souvenir’s.
- Answer inquiries and provide information
- Ensure safety of all tour participants all the time.
- Ability to guide in English and another language Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese or Spanish added advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
- 2+ years experience in guided tours
- Experience in night photography and Adobe Photoshop editing software

- You understand that safety and minimizing risk is our #1 priority – fun is a close second
- Communicate with visitors Parks Canada messages in fun and engaging demeanor.
